Arthur Bliss Clarinet Quintet
Five musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra perform two works from the early part of the 20th century for clarinet and string quartet. The Quintet by Sir Arthur Bliss has found a deserved place in the repertoire alongside Mozart and Brahms. Walthew’s distinctive music has been rediscovered by Tom Verity who performed the Trio for clarinet, oboe and bassoon with Trio d’Anches in a Lunchtime Concert earlier this year.
