Inaugural Lecture: Medicines for Children: a very important niche
Professor Dan Hawcutt, Department of Women's and Children's Health

Dan Hawcutt is a Liverpool Medical School graduate, who specialised in paediatric clinical pharmacology. He has worked in Nottingham, Oxford, and Liverpool, and has been a clinical academic / honorary consultant for 12 years.

His research relates to the use of medicines in children, from how genes influence drug responses and harms, to how to safely manage medicines during inpatient stays, via polypharmacy and adverse drug reactions.

He also runs occasionally, skis whenever possible, coaches an U13 rugby team, and has a very solid 1200+ day Duolingo streak.

The lecture will take place between 17:30 and 20:00, followed by a networking drinks reception.
