Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.
Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".
Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.
Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.
Acting as a nexus for interdisciplinary research and impact at Liverpool, the ICSR will bring together researchers with distinct types of knowledge, experience and skills from across the University, as well as engaging with national and international experts.
Agenda
Vice-Chancellor Professor Tim Jones will open the event, followed by Pro-Vice -Chancellor for Research and Impact, Professor Anthony Hollander.
Professor Katie Atkinson, Director of the ICSR will talk about the aims of the Centre and the activities that will be taking place within it to stimulate interdisciplinary research and impact.
Guest speaker Dr Juan Bernabé-Moreno, Director of IBM Research Europe – Ireland and UK, who is also the company's Climate and Sustainability Accelerated Discovery Lead will provide reflections on his experience of leading large projects on sustainability requiring collaboration between interdisciplinary experts.
There will also be an opportunity for Q & A.
Sustainability
This event will take place during the University’s Sustainability Week. In keeping with our commitment to reach net zero by 2035, we have adopted the core principles of the University’s Sustainable Events Guidance for this event:
Venue
The 502 Teaching Hub was designed to meet the BREEAM “Excellent” criteria. It is centrally located on our campus and is fully DDA compliant, meaning it is accessible and usable by all.
Travel
To minimise the carbon footprint of this event please consider how you travel to and from the venue. Where possible, please consider walking or using public transport. For those who need to drive, car sharing is encouraged. If car parking is required, please see our campus information here. Catering
Light refreshments will be included at the start of the event. In keeping with our Sustainable Food Policy no paper or plastic cups/cutlery will be provided, and all options will be vegetarian/vegan. To avoid food waste, guests are encouraged to take any leftover food home. Please feel free to bring your own food container, water bottle or cup.
