Beside a centred interest in liver, she has worked on microbiome, adipose tissue and cardiovascular consequences of either acute or chronical dietary intake of lipids (fatty acids and cholesterol). Since 2017 she has focused on elucidating the role, importance and regulation of mechanosensing (flow sensing at the endothelium) on lipid metabolism and liver regeneration.
She grew up in France, where carried out her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and completed her PhD at the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands. She secured a prestigious Marie Curie IEF fellowship and undertook postdoctoral research in Toulouse and Leeds. In 2014 she became Lecturer in Nutrient and Metabolism at the University of Leeds, in the School of Food Science and Nutrition.
