Biography
Fernando graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2001 and worked in Spain for 9 months before moving to the UK in 2002. Following 6 years in mixed practice in East Yorkshire, in 2008 he moved to the University of Liverpool where he completed an ECEIM residency in Equine Internal Medicine. He obtained his European Diploma in Equine Internal Medicine in 2011. Fernando was appointed a Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine in April 2011 and later a Senior Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine in 2014.
Fernando is heavily involved in the running of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine and is a member of its Board and head of the Nominations Committe. He is also a member of the International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium.
He is an MRCVS and European Recognised Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine.
