As a prominent teaching hospital we are at the forefront of new technology and research and achieve excellent outcomes using some of the best facilities in the UK for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. An additional benefit of being a teaching hospital is that every case is allocated a final year student who is closely engaged in the individual care of the horse as part of the clinical team responsible for the case.

Every horse in the hospital has a dedicated clinical team including three vets, an experienced equine technician and also a student, who are all responsible for it’s care.

We have an international reputation for our pioneering work in the treatment of equine colic, cancer, metabolic and orthopaedic conditions. Our research has made a major contribution to the health and well-being of the equine population worldwide.
