Veterinary scientists from the University led a 1,000-mile motorbike journey to raise money for the Disabled Riding Centre in Mali, Africa.
Together with vets from six other universities the team visited all of the UK’s seven veterinary schools raising funds to ensure the centre for orphaned disabled children stays open.
Vets delivered lectures at each of the schools and discussed equine medicine and research in areas such as dermatology, skin tumours and obesity.
The seven-day event began in Liverpool, stopping at Bristol, London, Cambridge, Nottingham, Edinburgh and finishing in Glasgow and raised more than £75,000.
