Our safe and inclusive campus
We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and welcoming campus for all staff and students. It is important to us that our staff and students feel supported and able to ask for and receive help whenever they need it.
For staff, our Equality and Engagement team offer a wide range of EDI guidance and support.
For students, Student Services are available to help if you need support while studying. You can get assistance with your studies, finances, mental wellbeing and more, either in person or via our online services.

We have developed a number of campus access guides to ensure that people with physical disabilities or disabilities which impact on mobility and travel around campus know what the access is of the buidlings they work, study or live in.

The Chaplaincy to the University provides an ecumenical chaplaincy service to staff and students at the University including Anglican, Catholic, Methodist and Jewish chaplains, and a Muslim Adviser.

Gender neutral facilities
The University has a number of Gender Neutral or Unisex toilets, showers and changing rooms on campus.

We have a suite of Family Friendly policies including Adoption, Maternity, Shared Parental and Paternity Leave. We have an onsite Nursery (Liverpool) and Carers Car Parks (Liverpool).

Our campus is a breastfeeding friendly environment with facilities for staff and students who are breastfeeding mothers. There are also baby changing facilities placed across the campus.

Staff and students can report bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, hate crime, discrimination or assault using this online tool.

The Campus support team offers a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week chaperone service. We would be happy to escort any student, staff, or visitor around the University campus to ensure that they feel safe whilst on our site.
