My role is to enhance the research environment within the school. I am the Professional Services staff member on the Research Strategy Group. The Research Strategy Group is responsible for driving the research direction for the School.
Members include Academic representatives from each Research Group, Early Career and Postdoctoral Research reps, Fellowships and PGR leads, The Director of Research (Committee Chair) and is supported by the School Research and Finance team. The aim of the Research Strategy Group (RSG) is to develop policies, ideas and future directions to enhance the research, environment and impact profile of the School. Research Strategy Group
I work with academics throughout the stages of a research grant from finding funding, peer review, costings and application, sift panels, mock interviews, working with RSO to submit accurate applications of a high standard.
I also support throughout post award, where there may be changes such as extensions, supplements, reporting periods. I am responsible for raising staff requisitions and management change requests in line with awards.
I organise and support events and workshops that the RSG run, these include NERC Pushing the Frontiers and Exploring the Frontiers pitching events, Prosper Post Doc workshops, Grant Writing, Raising the Level of Outputs, Obtaining a Fellowship along with adhoc events and workshops
I offer support with finding research funding, Liverpool Elements and CONSULT (providing costings)
