English Attainment Scholarship - Department of English

Brian Nellist English Attainment Scholarship

The Level One Board of Examiners awards the Brian Nellist English Attainment Scholarship annually to the two students with the best overall performance in English at first year, as a Single Honours (100%) or Major (75%). The scholarship is awarded to students continuing at Single Honours or Major in English at the University of Liverpool for the second and third years of their undergraduate programme.

The two recipients will receive a tuition fee* waiver for Years 2 and 3 of their Undergraduate Single Honours or Major programme of study in the Department of English at this University.

There is no application process. The Dean of School of the Arts and the Head of Department of English will formally notify the recipients in writing, following the publication of marks from the Board of Examiners for Level One English programmes in July each year. The award will be made at a prize-giving ceremony when the recipients return to the University of Liverpool at the start of the next academic session in September.
