“The MA Applied Linguistics course allowed me to further my understanding of linguistics in a number of important areas such as English teaching, English language assessment and discourse analysis. The optional modules on the course allowed me to design a pathway that suited my interests and theoretical curiosities.
Interacting with professional practitioners and esteemed authors and researchers within Applied Linguistics not only improved the quality of my approach to the subject, but provided me with a wealth of insight as I progressed through the course and towards the eventual focus of my thesis.
I intend to use this MA to make myself more competitive in the international English teaching market, whilst also continuing to immerse myself in the scholarly practices that this course prepares its students for.”
