Research

My research looks at the presence of Shakespeare in experimental British poetry from the 21st century. I am looking at the ways in which the work of JH Prynne and Vahni Capildeo engages with Shakespeare, as well as looking at contemporary engagements with the Sonnets from a variety of writers. I am interested in the interplay between radical writing and canonicity, and what it tells us about literary standards.
