Landscape, Letters and Female Landowners in the North: The Writings of Beatrix Potter and Anne Lister
My doctoral research focuses on the private and published writings of Anne Lister (1791-1840) and Beatrix Heelis, née Potter (1866-1943), examining the relationship between land and literature. The project considers various conceptions of landscapes and agricultural spaces, looking at our valuation and experience of land, asking questions of agency, authority and stewardship. Alongside my research, I am also the Journals Marketing Executive at Liverpool University Press, managing their collection of Literature, Archiving, Cultural Studies, and Science Fiction journals.
