Which course is right for me: online or on-campus?
Pre-sessional English courses are designed not just to fulfil the language requirements of your offer from the University of Liverpool, but to maximise your potential success by developing the communication and study skills necessary for academic study in the UK.
The level of language required by your department and your current language level will define the length of course you'll need. All courses finish on the same date, but your start date may differ depending on the length of the course you need. Online courses usually begin and end about three weeks earlier than on-campus courses.
Details of any summer online study opportunities are normally announced before the end of December in the previous year. Whichever mode of study you choose, you'll follow the same successful curriculum and enjoy the same high standard of teaching. There may be some differences in assessment procedures, teaching methods and the timing of different elements of the course in response to the particular circumstances of online teaching, learning and assessment.
Whether you choose to study fully online or on campus, both methods of study give essential training in the academic skills necessary to succeed at University. Both assess the same learning outcomes.
