Postgraduate personal statement support

We want to see you get onto the postgraduate degree of your choice, and we want to help you take the quickest route to it. That's why the English Language Centre has teamed up with Careers and Employability to offer bespoke support to help you prepare, plan and write successful personal statements for postgraduate study.

This support will provide tailored advice on what to include in your statement and how to structure it, as well as useful tips on how to prepare before you come to write it. You will be able to access a video outlining the above, followed by an online tutorial  - for both PGT and PGR courses - which covers skills such as effectively researching the information available on postgraduate courses, and editing and proof-reading your Personal Statement. 
 
The workbook available in the Careers Support section of the website will guide you towards writing your statement - once your first draft is ready you can then book a one-to-one online consultation with a specialist tutor from the English Language Centre who will help you refine it further so that it's as polished as possible before you use it in your application.
