About

Dr. Haopeng Wang is appointed as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Structural Engineering Materials at the University of Liverpool. He is leading the Transport Infrastructure Group within the department. He graduated from the School of Transportation at Southeast University, obtaining his BEng and MSc degrees in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He received his PhD degree from Delft University of Technology in September 2021. He was also a visiting PhD student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellow (sponsored by EU’s Horizon 2020) at the University of Nottingham. Dr. Wang is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). He has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2022 and 2023 released by Stanford University in the field of Logistics & Transportation, Building & Construction. Dr. Wang has been the principal investigator (PI) on two UK EPSRC Network+ research grants.
