New Virtual Engine Test Bench for Liverpool
The University’s Benefactors’ Fund has helped to finance the latest technology in laboratory teaching for the School of Engineering, a WESTT CS/BV Virtual Engine Test Bench.
The Virtual Bench is based on a real turbofan engine test bench and can perform tests that professional engineers do in industry, but with a simulated engine.
The bench is specifically designed for educational purposes and there are fewer than ten in the world. Liverpool will be at the forefront of the UK in having this virtual bench to enhance teaching and interactive learning for students.
