VANESSA project launches CEN workshop chaired by Professor Eann Patterson

VANESSA, (Validation of Numerical Engineering Simulations: Standardisation Actions) is a project funded under the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme and recently launched a CEN Workshop (N0. 71) on Validation of Strain Field Simulations .  Professor Patterson was elected chair of the workshop which is tasked with reaching an industry-wide consensus, or workshop agreement.

CEN's National Members are the National Standards Bodies (NSBs) of the 27 European Union countries plus six European Free Trade Association countries.

The CEN workshop will be chaired by the University of Liverpool's School of Engineering Professor Eann Patterson.
