2024/25 RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship
Dr Xu Dai has received a prestigious award from the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), as one of the seven RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowships for 2024/25, starting from September 2024. This research project focuses on better characterising travelling fires and evaluating the corresponding critical failure of steel-concrete composite floor structures at the system level. This project has three external collaborators: Dr Stephen Welch from the University of Edinburgh, Prof. Ian Burgess from the University of Sheffield, and Dr Simon Santamaria from Hydrock.

Dr Martina Manes was the Recipient of the UK Society of Fire Protection Engineers Research Project 2023 Award Runner-Up for the EU FireStat project.
2023 Faculty Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Award of the University of Liverpool
