Design Portfolio guest lecture and surgery session with Sam Gwilt
On the 31st January 2020, the Industrial Design Division were lucky enough to welcome Sam Gwilt to the studio to deliver a presentation and workshop on creating design portfolios and CVs.
Using his industry experience and knowledge, Sam gave an excellent presentation showing just what is needed to make an excellent portfolio and CV. Through using his own work, he was able to convey exactly what to do (and sometimes what not to do!) to help the aspiring designers when they come to apply for jobs in design industry.
The presentation ended with Sarah Li and Chris Browne, Industrial Design Society Vice President and President respectively, awarding Sam with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Industrial Design Division.
The event was finished with Sam kindly holding a surgery session to help students who wanted input on their own portfolio.
