Industry Talk by Wyn Jones, Creative Director of DESIGN REALITY
On 23rd October 2018 the Industrial Design Society welcomed Wyn Jones, Creative Director of DESIGN REALITY – one of the top design consultancies in the UK. Under the umbrella of “Who-What-How-Why?” Wyn delivered a captivating talk focusing on the inner workings and key activities of their award-winning design consultancy. Through a number of real world examples he effectively conveyed what is contained within the DESIGN REALITY portfolio and what skills and characteristics are required by the team to be able to create designs that are perceived as “Wow!” rather than “Thank you, that works.”
In true Industrial Design Society style, free pizza and drinks – always a favourite – were provided for the attendees as the mingled with Creative Director Jones for further discussions and networking.
The evening concluded with ID Society President James Clarke awarding a Certificate of Appreciation to Wyn on behalf of the Division of Industrial Design. Finally, three new members were introduced into the ID Society leadership team and awarded their appointment certificates: Samantha Hilton (Vice President), Chris Browne (Treasurer) and Guangxiao Hu (Director of Design).
