Researching Private Companies – SOCI529

This module will develop an advanced set of skills using a range of hands-on techniques and tools that are used both in the academic world and in the policy/NGO world to analyse private companies and their social impact.

The module covers a range of key issues, including: how to think through the ‘right’ questions to ask; data sources that can help us research corporate power; how research can help us understand the structure of corporate power; and ‘how to’ research companies in difficult settings.
