Narrative Interviewing – SOCI524

This module will introduce postgraduate students to key theoretical and methodological principles in conducting narrative research focusing primarily on interviewing.
Covering key contributions to this form of inquiry, the course will introduce the theoretical and analytical principles of narrative research; help build technical skills for conducting, transcribing and analysing narrative interviews and explore the contributions and limitations of the use of narrative inquiry in social science research.
This module is an option for the Masters in Social Research Methods, and is also open for non-credited attendance to all postgraduate students in the university.
