Study with us
We offer a range of exciting research-connected undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses and postgraduate research opportunities within our two Departments: Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science.
Our staff are committed to the development of programmes in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Computer Science that will enhance the employability of our students and provide an excellent student experience. We have strong interdisciplinary collaborations with governments and industrial partners worldwide. This means that we keep up to date with the latest cutting-edge technology and our graduates are industry-ready.
We ensure that our teaching is connected to research through:
- Module content exposing students to current research in the discipline. Content of our lectures is informed by the research activities and interests of the staff teaching those subjects
- The teaching of research methods and processes. Students on all taught programmes learn about research methods and processes relevant to their disciplines in each module
- Students undertaking research projects. Individual projects are an important and integral part of all our taught programmes; the range of projects offered by staff aims to cater for a range of student abilities and interests and specifically includes projects dedicated to current research within the School.
