About

Youbin Zheng received his B.S. degree in Electronic Device and Materials Engineering (2010) and Ph.D. degree in Material Physics and Chemistry (2015) from Lanzhou University. Following that, he served as an assistant research professor at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2015 to 2019. Subsequently, he became a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Hossam Haick's research group, where his work focused on the development of microneedle-based skin patches for wearable sensing and self-powered biosensing systems for health monitoring.

In 2023, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering & Electronics at the University of Liverpool as a Lecturer.

His research interests include biomaterials, wearable biosensing, energy harvesting, and self-powered sensing platforms for screening, diagnosis, and monitoring of disease.
