Education, Quality and Enhancement (EQE) at the University of Liverpool is the place where expertise, specialist capabilities and resources combine and collaborate to give colleagues a suite of support for quality, compliance, innovation and enhancement in learning and teaching.

What is our goal?

EQE aims to help create the conditions for all University of Liverpool students to have a truly excellent, inspiring, and transformative experience and achieve their full academic potential, and to enhance work across research and knowledge transfer. 

How do we do this?

To achieve our goals, EQE works collaboratively with colleagues across the University and with partners to:   

  • Strategically inform the development of the University’s education offer, through the contribution of individual and collective leadership, expertise and insights
  • Develop and monitor the quality assurance and quality enhancement frameworks and standards underpinning all University of Liverpool awards
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, respond to faculty and curriculum development needs through the application of training, support and resources, and to utilise EQE expertise to promote innovation and pedagogic creativity 
  • Help create an innovative, evidence-based, robustly designed educational offer, with a culture of continuous improvement   
  • Engage students in its quality assurance and quality enhancement processes. This includes finding ways to engage students in the design, implementation and evaluation phases of our work  
  • Assist colleagues in the development of both UK and overseas collaborative initiatives including, articulation arrangements, joint programmes and franchised teaching programmes and PGR degrees.   

How does EQE support Strategy 2031?

EQE will support the University of Liverpool's Strategy 2031 in a number of key ways, through:   

  • A package of support, workshops and initiatives, providing a coherent framework that will enable departments and institutes to maximise the opportunity to fully optimise their curricula   
  • Aligning global opportunities with our policies and goals, to ensure coherence and quality is a hallmark of our partnerships   
  • Working with researchers at all levels to promote best practice and lower institutional quality risks.
