Uganda Field Class

Our students have the option to go on a two-week course to Uganda in the Easter vacation of their second year.

We start in the Kibale National Park, famous for its wide range of primate species where students learn some basic tropical ecology and then carry out a series of group projects, (e.g. primate behaviour, plant-animal interaction, ant conflicts, dung beetle ecology).

We then move onto the Queen Elizabeth National Park where we consider the effects of Ecotourism. You are guaranteed good sightings of Elephant, Hippos, Crocodiles and Kob.

This course is assessed by group presentations on their project, field note-books and a project write-up.
