Why study Marine Biology at Liverpool?
Our Marine Biology division is internationally recognised for its research and teaching. Our undergraduate degrees are taught by world leading researchers and provide many transferrable skills highly valued by a wide range of employers. All of our degrees are accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMAREST).
Students immediately get involved in our research activity, and fieldwork and practical sessions are a major feature of our courses. Students also benefit from our links with other institutes, industry and government agencies around the world, including the National Oceanography Centre situated on the University campus, the Marine Biological Association, the UK’s Learned Society for Marine Biologists, the Field Studies Council and the World Museum Liverpool.
