Many students use their experience in outreach to pursue careers in teaching but for students not wishing to teach, the experience and skills gained in communication and presentation are valued in any career from industry to research.
Students for many years have benefitted in various ways:
- Increased confidence in communicating their subject
- Experience (for CV/PGCE application)
- Opportunity to see if they would enjoy teaching/presenting and communication
- More enthusiasm for subject
