Event: Industry Taster Pilot
The CDT is pleased to be co-hosting an ‘Industry Taster Pilot Event’ for PhD students in Liverpool on 14 July 2022
The event has been organised with The Alan Turing Institute as part of the ATI’s ‘Connections Initiative’ and will take place at The Spine on Thursday 14 July. It will be the first of its kind and will offer a platform for PhD students from other UK CDT’s to come together to collaborate.
There will also be representatives from Dstl taking part, who will set challenges for students to work in groups to define creative solutions. These sessions will give those students an experience of working with industry.
We hope delegates will achieve learning outcomes in relation to; applying existing knowledge and skills towards an industrial problem, using their evaluation skills to identifying options for research problems and design responses to these identified challenges.
This event is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the field of research in a collaborative and team working environment, supported by academics and industry, the Distributed Algorithms CDT and The Alan Turing Institute.
