Our vision
Our students will develop a common language to work across the areas of automation, artificial intelligence (AI), synthesis, characterisation, and modelling. This will prepare them to become both leader and team player in the evolving landscape of digital materials chemistry.
Our mission
Many of our doctoral projects are co-designed with industrial partners. They will address advanced fundamental and applied research questions. We will combine tools of data science, algorithm, and physical models, with advance synthetic and characterisation methods, for the full breadth of materials chemistry.
Our training programme covers the key technical aspects of automation and digital methods with professional training. This reflects the diversity of career opportunities available in industry, academia, and non-commercial research organisations.
