Quality clinical training
Our school features state of the art teaching facilities, including the latest simulation technology. Additionally, with Liverpool University Dental Hospital in the same building, we provide students with real-world experience here and in our primary-care outreach facilities. Students learn from experienced, practising, senior professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, expert clinical skills and research interests with the people they teach, whether undergraduates or fellow practitioners. To aid professional development we offer postgraduate programmes in specialist fields such as orthodontics and conscious sedation, as well as a full programme of CPD courses for every member of the dental team.
Dedicated to your success
Our school has a friendly, diverse, and supportive culture that provides an inclusive and collaborative learning environment for all students and staff. As an undergraduate, you'll have your own Academic Advisor from day one and access to a unique online assessment system that lets you plan your study, get detailed feedback, and create your own e-portfolio of work. At the postgraduate level, we provide excellent research training and great study facilities, as well as supportive supervision. At every level, you'll be supported by academic staff ready to help you.
State-of-the-art facilities
Students will find all the facilities necessary for a complete and fully supported learning experience contained within the school. This includes lecture and seminar rooms with up-to-date and interconnected AV technology, allowing seamless face-to-face and hybrid teaching. Our simulation suites are state-of-the-art and include the latest advanced haptic technology. This allows students to develop and practice their clinical skills in a safe and closely supervised environment. The proximity of the dental hospital allows for easy transfer to real-world clinical experience, supported by all the facilities and staff of the NHS. Whilst facilities and equipment are a vital part of the student experience, what makes the difference is the dedicated and experienced workforce of the school – academic clinicians and scientists, technicians and administrators, all there to ensure your success.
