International Business Consultancy Project

Code: MKIB306

Credits: 30

Semester: Whole Session

In this module, students will gain a first-hand practical experience in management consulting by working on a real-life project with a client organisation. To assimilate a real-life experience, students will be presented with a “problem/business challenge” faced by the organisation and will be expected to address it by utilising knowledge obtained throughout their years of study. The module builds on and integrates content from other BA International Business modules, such as Business Ethics, Responsible Business and Sustainability, Strategic Management and Business Policy, International Development, International Management and other. Further learnings will depend on the exact project specified by the client. The module will also provide students with conceptual/theoretical foundations in the management of consulting projects as well as build their reflective skills. Moreover, students will develop skills related to management consulting such as project management, problem solving, commercial awareness, presentation, data collection and analysis, time management and independent learning. This module also aims to enhance students’ employability skills and future career prospects.
