Collaboration: Porous Liquids Discovered
As part of an international collaboration between The University of Liverpool, Queen's University Belfast, and universities in Argentina, France, and Germany, we have discovered the first examples of porous liquids. These new materials can store and release gases such as methane, and we have developed a scalable, one-step synthesis route based on commercially available starting materials.
