Claire Dowling
Information
I am currently teaching two Psychology courses with the Continuing Education Department at the University of Liverpool. The two courses I teach with the department are, ‘An Introduction to Clinical Psychology’ and ‘An Introduction to Forensic Psychology.’ I have over nine years of clinical experience in secondary NHS mental health services during which I have worked in both clinical and forensic settings.
In addition to my role at the University of Liverpool, I work as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist in a local NHS trust. At the moment, I am working on several pieces of research promoting human rights based approaches in healthcare. The research projects are funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, exploring innovative ways to embed human rights based approaches in health and social care.
