The XJTU summer school includes a comprehensive course on Chinese culture, taught in English and Mandarin. Students will have the opportunity to:
- Attend lectures on Chinese culture,
- Learn Tai Chi,
- Attend calligraphy classes,
- Learn Chinese folk songs,
- Attend arts-and-crafts classes, including a class on Chinese papercutting,
- Learn about Chinese cuisine,
- Learn about the Shaanxi Dialect, which is widely spoken in Xi’an.
There will be seminars and lectures delivered by experts, scholars, and local students, and there will be plenty of opportunities for sightseeing around cultural and historical areas in Beijing and Xi’an.
