Jacopo is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Music AI. His research focuses on the design computational methods for music analysis and information retrieval, spanning three key areas: Computational Creativity, Music Intelligence and Personalisation, and the Semantic Music Web. His ultimate goal is to design artificial agents embodied with musical intelligence to enhance our understanding of music, enable personalised music experiences for well-being, support creative endeavours in music, and foster greater engagement in music education. Previously, he was at the University of Manchester working on the S+T+ARTS MUSAE project, and at King's College London under the EU H2020 Polifonia project, where he lead the INTERLINK pilot. He holds a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Manchester, where his research focused on the automatic evaluation of generative models for music composition.
