Dr Rosalynd Southern

Dr Rosalynd Southern (RSouth@liverpool.ac.uk), Senior Lecturer in Political Communication, University of Liverpool, UK: Rosalynd Southern is a Senior Lecturer in Political Communication at the University of Liverpool. Her work focusses on digital and social media for political communication. She has studied the use of social media during the last four UK General Election campaigns plus the EU Referendum. This has included working for the British Election Study on their iBES Internet Participation module, as well as projects assessing the adoption and use of social media across election campaigns. More recently, she has focused on gender in online political communication, largely via the assessment of online incivility and abuse towards female Members of Parliament. Her work on this has been published in Social Science Computer Review, Electoral Studies and Information, Communication and Society.
