My role
Emma takes a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximise the commercial potential of research products and services within the University of Liverpool. Emma oversees the entire lifecycle of early-stage research commercialisation portfolio to drive revenue growth, identify market opportunities, grow networks and establish partnerships with stakeholders, and ensure the University plays an active role in the local innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
About me
Emma is a seasoned technology transfer professional with a law degree. She has worked as IP and Commercialisation Manager for a number of Universities across the North of England over the past 25(+) years, before joining the University of Liverpool in 2016 to head the IP Commercialisation team. Although she started her career in legal/contracts and IP management, her current interests include company formation, sitting on company boards and startup ecosystems.
