My role
My role is to assist with the management of the University's patent portfolio and budget and provide advice and support to the IP Commercialisation Managers and other University stakeholders regarding all aspects of IP protection.
About me
I hold a Masters in Computer Aided Design Engineering and Bachelors in Industrial and Production Engineering. I also hold a PG Certificate in Intellectual Property which is equivalent to Part Qualified Patent Attorney. In my previous role as a patent engineer, I managed +2000 inventors. I conducted IP awareness and training sessions for Inventors and various engineering teams such as the Product Development team, Innovation team and more. I have organized and led ideation sessions and harvested inventions. I scouted for new IP opportunities, inventions and products critical to strategic business objectives whilst maintaining track of existing programs. I also collaborated and maintained relations with various stakeholders to ensure ideas with competitive advantage were identified and protected starting from conceptualisation to commercialisation
