University to host Association of Physicians meeting in April 2023

The Association of Physicians of Great Britain and Ireland (AoP) will hold their 116th Annual Meeting at The Spine in Liverpool on 20th and 21st April 2023.

The AoP is a vibrant community of Interdisciplinary Translational Medicine researchers at all career stages, with the aim of promoting high quality interdisciplinary translational research to improve human health and wellbeing.

Central to this, the annual meeting provides the opportunity to meet leaders and talented young researchers in other fields, to hatch novel ideas and discover inspiring new collaborators that will not be found at any other meeting.

The 2023 Programme will feature Five symposia focusing on key interdisciplinary translational themes:
•    Infectious Diseases
•    Genomics
•    Data Science
•    Neurological Diseases
•    Open Themes

The Executive Committee invites submissions of abstracts that are aligned with these themes with a deadline of 8th January. For more information and to submit your abstract, please click here.

The meeting also features a range of notable speakers including, Professor Sharon Peacock, Professor of Public Health and Microbiology at University of Cambridge, Professor Tom Solomon, Director of The Pandemic Institute and Dr Tim Ferris, Inaugural National Director of Transformation at NHS England and NHS Improvement.

For early career researchers, there is a programme on 20th April from 9:00am to 12:30.
