Patient and public involvement
We are committed to embedding patient and public involvement (PPI) in all our research activities. Involving patients and the public in health and life sciences research is crucial, as our work has the potential to shape the lives of millions, both locally and globally.
Our mission is to establish good practices in PPI which can improve transparency, public trust and confidence within the faculty and the wider health and social care sector.
Our PPI strategy focuses on embedding a culture, structures and practices of PPI that meet the UK Public Involvement Standards.
If you want to learn more about our PPI work visit our patient and public involvement website or contact Jennifer Preston, Patient and Public Involvement Policy Manager.
PPI e-learning training programme
PPI e-learning is an online training programme of 30-minute ‘bitesize’ modules for researchers, research staff, and public contributors within health and social care research. Produced by patients and public members, it focuses on helping participants appreciate the value and impact of PPI.
