The Clinical Academic Office (CAO) supports consultant-level appointments, by assisting with the drawing up of job descriptions, liaising with the appropriate Royal College, and establishing the selection panel.
The CAO works with Institutes and partner trusts to ensure consistency of joint job-planning and appraisals. We manage the Liverpool Integrated Clinical Academic Training programme and oversee the appointment of honorary clinical academic positions.
