Dr Chetwynd was awarded Tenure Track Fellow and KRUK fellowship
Congratulations to Andy who was awarded a Tenure Track Fellowship here in the CPR on the 1st of May.
In two short months, Andy has been awarded a 5-year Senior Non-Clinical Fellowship from Kidney Research UK to investigate the role of glycosylation in immunoglobulin-complement immune complexes in IgA-mediated kidney disease in paediatric and adult populations.
This fellowship will characterise N and O-glycans longitudinally tracking disease progression to understand how immune complexes evolve and cause kidney inflammation. It builds upon existing collaborations with the Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre for Children and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to improve children’s and adult's long terms kidney health outcomes.
