Hanna Magedera (University of Liverpool) and Dorit Fellner-Whitgreave (University of Manchester) offered local schoolteachers and university lecturers a chance to learn about the use of games for language teaching. They presented various games ideas and discussed their purposes in the language classroom, for example for grammar or vocabulary revision, as ice breakers and for cohort-building, or to practice oral skills. Included were games for learners at all levels, from A1 to C2. Participants were keen to try out some of the games on the spot and to contribute ideas for using them in their classes.
