CIE Innovation Fund

The Centre for Innovation in Education will make available annual funding to support innovative teaching practice across the University of Liverpool, and to provide assistance to programme/module teams and their students to research and demonstrate innovative practice to enhance the learning experience for students at the University of Liverpool.

The fund can be used to support projects which align with one or more of the following elements:

  • Innovates curriculum development,
  • Has a positive impact on the student experience (curricular or co-curricular),
  • Supports WP, community engagement or other outreach which will enrich the student experience,
  • Promotes interdisciplinary innovation in the curriculum.

Successful applicants will be expected to;

  • Demonstrate student participation, with students as active partners in the project,
  • Present their findings at the annual Learning & Teaching Conference,
  • Produce a case study aligning the project to one of the 3 hallmarks and 3 attributes of the Liverpool Curriculum Framework,
  • Demonstrate a positive impact on the student experience,
  • Submit a final evaluation report.

The CIE innovation fund provides up to £10,000 per year (in total) to support innovative projects at the University of Liverpool and welcomes applications for funding up to the amount of £2,500 per project.

All project applications will be required to confirm that they have used the Research Ethics decision tool to determine whether University research ethics approval will be needed for your project.

The deadline for applications is the 28 October 2024 with successful applicants being informed the week commencing the 25 November 2024.
