Brief description
The University of Liverpool is committed to equality, inclusion, diversity, and social justice, and seeks to benefit not only those who are engaged in learning at the University, but also the wider community of Liverpool and the North West.
Our Liverpool Curriculum Framework has recently added Inclusivity as a curriculum principle, to reflect the ongoing University commitment to the grand challenges facing Higher Education regarding decolonisation of the curriculum, the privileging of particular voices, and global sustainability.

Brief description
The University of Liverpool exists ‘for the advancement of learning and the ennoblement of life’ and being one of four universities in Liverpool it is our civic duty to reflect on our practice and the consequences of not challenging our biases and perceptions. Racism and discrimination are more prevalent than many of us are aware, and this not only impacts the experiences of our colleagues and friends, but also the quality of teaching and research we can produce. With this in mind, the Centre for Innovation in Education hosted this week long event to highlight these topics within our community, and discuss the effective and meaningful changes we can make within the University and the City.
