Digital education special interest groups

The digital education special interest groups provide a platform for educators and technologists to discuss emerging trends, share best practices and address challenges.

We run special interest groups in digital education and support the work of HLS colleagues. These groups are informed by staff requests desiring to bring together people who share a common interest, to provide a forum for discussions on emerging trends, share best practice and address challenges in shared areas of interest.

Currently, CEDS special interest groups are:

  • Immersive Technologies (AR/VR/MR/Simulation) within HLS
  • 3D digitisation of physical artefacts.

We also manage the following faculty groups:

  • Digital Transformation Group
  • Education and Scholarship Group
  • Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Awards.

as well as the following external group:

  • End Point Assessment for Advance Clinical Practitioner - Northwest Consortium.

CEDS will release an annual fund which is created from external income generation. CEDS Fund will be announced in the institute newsletters and will be listed here.
