Summary
In this presentation, we will explore the world of online Community and Citizen Science (CCS) through showcases from iNaturalist and Zooniverse.
Drawing from two distinct studies, the team investigates how young people, including those with limited science experiences, engage with authentic research in online settings.
The study uncovers the benefits and challenges of participation, shedding light on the design principles needed for educational, inclusive and accessible CCS programs.
