The Universities of Liverpool and Sunderland have been awarded £160,960 grant from the HEFCE Leadership and Management Fund to promote the benefits of shared teaching laboratory design.
The Universities have exciting development projects which will act as the agents of change in teaching methodology and laboratory design, management and support.
Phase 2 of the Sunderland Science Complex was reoccupied at the start of the 2010 academic year and the Liverpool Central Teaching Laboratories are due for completion in late 2011.
The Liverpool Organisational Development project has moved to the operational stage. A PDR will be undertaken for the technicians which will record a skills matrix analysis and skills development requirements to support the new teaching curriculum.
